Press the up key on the d-pad until the object reaches the desired height. Choose an object and find a place for it. Close the cheat input box and enter the build mode. Bring up the cheat input box again and type in “bb.moveobjects on”. Press “RB, LB, RT, and LT” for Xbox or “R1, L1, R2, L2” for PS4 on your controller at once to open the cheat input box and type in “testingcheats on”. In the game, make sure cheats are enabled. For example, if you raise a window, the window hole in a wall will remain. 
Tip: some objects don’t change height well.
Press the “Alt” key to place the object. This indicates the Sim cannot interact with the object and I need to move it. If I direct my Sim to read the book, I get the ‘ I can’t go there/do that‘ blocked route thought bubble and waving hands from the Sim. Enter “freerealestate on” or “freerealestate off” to enable or disable free homes.Įxample: Below is a situation where a book is blocked by a fish bowl. Type “rosebud” or “kaching” then press enter for $1,000 simoleons. Simply open the cheats panel (directions above) and type Motherlode then press enter for every $50,000 simoleons your sim needs. The “Motherlode” Cheat is great for gaining whatever funds your Sim will need to move into the lot. If you used MOO or debug objects, your job with likely be harder at testing time. You will need to move a tester Sim into your lot and have them test/confirm that all objects that should be useable to Sims on the lot work properly, and that there are no routing issues for your Sim anywhere in the home.
